Please Sponsor Me in the AIDS Walk + Ride

I will be participating in this year's AIDS Walk + Ride on May 1, 2010, to complete the 100 mile bike ride for the 3rd consecutive year. Over the last three years I have come to know many people living with and working to fight HIV and AIDS since I began my work at UNC with HIV clinical trials. Since starting medical school at UNC last year, I have continued to work to promote education and prevention of HIV throughout North Carolina. I have seen the devastating impact of HIV on many people's lives, but more importantly I have seen the positive effect that love, understanding and support can have on those living with HIV. 

That is why I am asking for your support. With the economy having taking a turn for the worse, the federal funding for HIV care in the United States has been drastically cut, and this is one way you can help those living with HIV and the agencies which support them, in your own community, as all the benefiting agencies are local. 

 So please do anything you can, join my team, register as an individual or make a donation on my behalf.
